A Cider Festival in a Castle…
Not such a strange concept, when you consider there are references to cider drinking back in medieval times. It was considered a much better option to drink than the often dirty water. And really, the fundamental methods of making a craft cider, or even perry, haven’t changed much in the hundreds of years passed.
Caldicot
A small town in Monmouthshire, south east Wales. It’s not far over the border, just ten minutes off the M4 motorway, and with good rail and bus links.

Can not wait.Fantastic weekend, fingers crossed for the weather
What’s the minimum age and is there entry fees
There is no minimum age. A child under 18 is permitted free entry with a full paying responsible adult.
In relation to camping, is the campsite near to the festival? We are due to arrive on the Sunday night is it a case of hope for a space when we get there, or will there be plenty of space to pitch-up?
The campsite is within the Country Park where the castle is located, so it’s less than 5 mins walk.
If you haven’t booked camping tickets then you will need to buy at the gate, providing there’s space.
See you there!
Can you tell me what time we can access the campsite to pitch tents and position caravans please?
It will be from 4pm on Friday or from 11am on Saturday or Sunday. All camper information packs will be going out to pre-booked campers by email this weekend.
Will there be a cider and perry festival 2017
