Set inside the walls of Caldicot’s magnificent medieval castle, the Welsh Perry & Cider Society will hold their annual festival on the bank holiday weekend 25-28th May.
Traditionally the bank holiday Monday is the festival’s family fun day and this year they have an even greater range of activities and entertainment than ever before.
This year’s event includes:
Live music from Ragsy…
Hailing from Aberdare and well known as a contestant on the 2013 season of The Voice, he blends his powerful vocals with beautiful acoustic melodies and heart on your sleeve song writing talent.
Children’s entertainer ‘Conwy Jester’…
In his 3rd year with the festival, he’ll be entertaining young and old alike with juggling workshops, comedy magic and balloon modelling.
Learn a craft skill…
Why not try your hand at willow weaving, get creative with block printing workshops, make a badge using a rag rug weaving technique, or get your hands dirty with creative play clay sculpture.
On top of that there are a variety of stalls showcasing the best in welsh arts and crafts along with face painting and henna tattoos.
Food at this year’s event includes Wood fired pizza, Gourmet BBQ, vegetarian wraps and paninis, as well as Japanese and Portuguese street food… Something for all tastes and budgets.
This year the society is supporting the Pilgrim Bandits charity who work with injured ex service personnel to offer direct assistance… Helping them to embrace life again and in doing so inspiring others.
Many of the activities this year are also under cover so even if it rains it wont stop the fun !!
Children are free if they are accompanied by a paying adult and entry tickets are only £5.00.
